Jóhann Jóhannsson, Icelandic electronic musician and Oscar-nominated composer, has died at the age of 48. He was found dead in his Berlin apartment on Friday. His cause of death is yet unknown and an autopsy is to be carried out by Berlin authorities.
Jóhannsson was well known and loved for his compositions and scores for The Theory of Everything (which earned him a Golden Globe), Sicario and Arrival. He had also been chosen to compose Blade Runner 2049, but was replaced by Hans Zimmer.
