The trailer for season 2 of Westworld dropped during the half-time break of the Superbowl. The sci-fi western is set to return this April.
“We can burn it to the ground. From the ashes, build a new world. Our world.”
“It’s the story of the origin of a new species on this planet,” said co-creator Johnathon Nolan, which brings in to question just where exactly season 2 may take us.
There’s no sign for the ‘Samurai World’ hinted at last season, but instead Native American hosts, the mysterious hooded men from season 1 and some new, un-host like robots feature in the trailer.
Westworld led the Emmy Awards with 22 nominations and will return to UK screens a day after the US on Sky Atlantic and Now TV on 23 April.
