Frank Turner Announces Headline UK Tour and Documentary ‘Get Better’

Frank Turner and the Sleeping Souls have announced a 20 date long UK ‘Get Better’ Tour that will include his 2000th show at Nottingham Rock City on December 15th. The singer/songwriter has released six full LP’s to date, and another two with his former post-hardcore band Million Dead. Having toured each of these albums has built Turner into one of the most veteran touring musicians, not just in Britain, but in the world.

The king of British poetic folk punk star is also set to release his debut documentary Get Better which will focus on the last year of Turner’s tour with the Sleeping Souls. Directed by Ben Morse, the one off stream of the documentary will also feature a live streamed Q&A and one-off solo performance in Leicester Square.

Supporting The Sleeping Souls throughout their upcoming tour is Esmé Patterson, whose follow-up to 2014′s Woman to Woman, was released on Xtra Mile Recordings back in June titled We Were Wild. Fans of Frank’s music will recognize Esmé’s voice from Positive Songs For Negative People’s ‘Silent Key’, an emotional anthem from 2015′s Positive Songs for Negative People, envisioning the crew of the Challenger Space Shuttle surviving the initial destruction of their ship. Esmé will be performing the track with Frank throughout the tour, making it one of the only opportunities fans will get to see the track performed as it was originally recorded.

The tour is also hosting the charity Safe Gigs For Women, who promote safe and comfortable environments at live music venues for all. Also, £1 of every ticket sale proceeds will go to War Child UK, who support and protect children whose lives have been disrupted by war and conflict.
